The Hard Cost category includes any cost that covers the tangible assets needed for the construction step. Therefore, anything related to building your home is accounted in this category; all the items needed at the construction site and for landscaping are included in this part of the estimate.
In contrast with the soft costs, the hard costs are quantifiable and sometimes easier to estimate. Listed in the hard costs, you should expect to see the expenses related to your site preparation, including the excavation and earthwork to be able to start with your project. The concrete needed for your exteriors and interiors, and your pick for interior and exterior finished.
